Description

Astral Radiance is the tenth main Sword Shield Series expansion of the Pokmon Trading Card Game and is set to release on May 27, 2022. In Japan, it is set to release as the dual Time Gazer and Space Juggler on April 8, 2022, which together form the tenth expansion of the Pokmon Card Game Sword Shield Era. Astral Radiance is expected to consist of cards sourced from the Japanese Time Gazer and Space Juggler expansions, the Battle Region subset, and some remaining cards from the VMAX Climax subset.

The expansion focuses on the Origin Formes of Legendary Pokmon Dialga and Palkia, which debuted in the core series title Pokmon Legends: Arceus. The two are included as Pokmon V and Pokmon VSTAR cards. The expansion also includes previously unknown Pokmon from the Hisui region, including a number of regional forms. The final evolutions of the Hisui starter Pokmon, Decidueye, Typhlosion, and Samurott, are all depicted on Pokmon V and Pokmon VSTAR cards in their regional forms.

Astral Radiance introduces Sparkling Pokmon, which function similarly to Shining Pokmon from the Neo Series and Pokmon from the EX Series. Sparkling Pokmon are all Basic Pokmon that portray the Shiny form of a species and have a Rule Box stipulating only one copy can be included in a deck. The expansion also features another Trainer Gallery subset, which comprises more Full Art reprints of a Pokmon alongside a Trainer. Each Astral Radiance booster pack contains ten cards from the expansion, a code card for use with the Pokmon Trading Card Game Live, and either a basic Energy card or a VSTAR marker card. Each Time Gazer and Space Juggler pack contains five cards from their respective expansion.
